OT Update on Son's Eyes by
Bobbie Sews More
A few months ago I posted where my son who has diabetics has had problems
with his eyes from the pressure and blood vessels in both eyes popped. It
got so that one eye was completed black and he could not see at all. Two
weeks ago that eye was operated on and he can see again, although things...

Finished a crazy quilt piece by
Lisa Caryl
Hi everyone,
Doing a bit of a happy dance here as I finished my moon box! I have pictures
of how it looks with the trim around the box, as well as a side view so you
can see the "legs" I added to it. It was fun to come up with unusual
materials for those :-). This is the piece that has Dianna's...

Fusibles by
frood
I've been using Steam a Seam 2, and I like the way it is kinda sticky, so
you can position (and re-position) before fusing. However, I don't like how
you can only fuse once. Right now, I'm working on an applique project that
requires multiple pieces on one applique figure, and it would be nice...

Allison
Hi all!
Sure hope someone can help me! This year I decided to enter one of my
quilts in the Vermont Quilt Festsival. And I got accepted. So far so
good.
The tricky part is that I live in Canada and have to get this thing
across the border. I thought this would be fairly easy - just call...

In the midst of bustleing around this morning to make sure every
reletive on the planet knows Ash is a ginger man tonight, plus all the
other attendant holiday madness, I got a phone call that made me just
drop everything and light a cigarette while contemplating rum before
noon.
We are going to...

Pinking Shears or Rotary Pinking Blades by
Derek Hartmann
Joan,
I will check with OLFA concerning the wear on cutting mats by using the
rotary pinking shears and see if they have any suggestions on how to extend
the life of your mats.

Derek

OT - Swollen cat! by
Johanna Gibson
I just finished hoovering and Sasha - Siamese sealpoint - came over
to me, which is unusual because she usually hides for a while.
As I was stroking her, I noticed that her left ear is swollen up.
It's huge! It seems to be full of some liquid, but is rock hard all
the same. I have no idea what...

All about me - slightly OT by
Alan Johnson
Hi, everyone.
I have only been quilting for about 6 months. My first attempt at a quilt
was for my baby daughter, who is now 10 months old. I had cross stitched 8
blocks of Teddies with stars and moons and wanted to make a quilt out of
them. After making the quilt my niece asked me if she could...

OT - UK "Secret Santa" by
Johanna Gibson
Hello UK folks on the list,
I see a lot of "Secret Santa" activity on my quilting newsgroups,
and feel a bit left out. I don't want to spend loads on buying tons
of quilting trinkets and tools, and then fork out for postage to these
US-based swaps this year, so...
I propose a UK Secret Santa,...

All of a sudden I have lost my "view" settings in my Outlook Express. I did

something about customizing. I tried to make a "rule" of hide read
messages" but it won't "stick". Why did this happen out of the...

Spent the entire day at the Road to California Quilt Show. Had an absolute

website, but we forgot to check with Rand McNally or Mapquest to see who to
get to the correct freeway. We made up our own way and were in the...

Who does Blocks of the Month? by
Lynne Van
Some of you have mentioned these from time to time, and I've
seen some of the patterns, which look amazing.
Who here does these regularly? What is your opinion on them?
Do you find them expensive?
Just wonderin',
