I actually own this pattern which I brought from Missouri Star Quilt Co. and you can see this tutorial by going to Missouristarquiltcompany. Once there scroll down to You Tube, open this, then type in Bordered 9 patch. Watch tutorial. Mine is made with Kaffe Fassett's 2 1/2 inch jelly roll. I did...

Hello RCTQ by [email protected]
What projects are you all working on? I am currently nearing the end of a double-headed doll (very popular in Victorian times). It has two dolls, joined at the waist. When the top doll is visible, the bottom doll is hidden under the dress. Flip the dress over, and the bottom doll is visible. ...

Morning Mist Quilt by [email protected]
This is the quilt I am working on right now. I would not recommend this quilt for a beginner because they use the old fashion way of making flying geese. On the internet go to www.quiltmakermagazine-September/October-2018, then open it(should be at the very top), after opening for some reason...

quilted jacket by Brian Christiansen
It has gotten cold enough here in Tucson that, at least late at night, I have to wear my quilted jacket (https://www.flickr.com/photos/brian0908/albums/72157660571976814). I think I made a post about it, that is about the only reason I can think of why I would have pictures of it on my flickr...

Another Popped Art Quilt by [email protected]
I have made this quilt just a few weeks ago using cream color background and batiks fabrics, so this time I am using a rich brown batik background/sashing and med/dark blues, med/dark greens blocks with a dark blue outer border and binding. Even though it as sashing it is easy to make. I also have...

Pecan Pie recipe by Mary O'Neill
My mom was given a bunch of pecans and she wants to make a pie. The only recipe I tried didn't turn out. We need a tried and true recipe if anyone has one. To stay on topic, I'm making my husband a quilt. It's the first one I've made him, but not the first time I've sewn for him :) This is the...

The Four Inch Squares Quilt by [email protected]
As most of you know I cut small pieces of left over material up into different size squares and when I get enough sew them into rows and this is what I am doing with my 4 inch squares. I have 21 rows of these made and am getting ready to sew the rows together to make a small quilt. These types of...

Happy halloween, and other random stuff by Brian Christiansen
Happy Halloween. I got 2 small bags of smarties("rockets" in canada, I think, and what are called smarties in Canada are what we call M&M's in the United States) and 2 small bags of Tootsie Rolls at the dollar store. If that is not enough candy for however many people come by, I guess I will...

stolen quilts - how frequent by [email protected]
How do you insure a quilt? My insurance company will not give me special coverage on quilts that I would like to show at fairs. They said in the event of fire or theft from my home, they will only cover the cost of the material in the quilt. There has to be a way to insure a quilt properly.

Long lost quilting sister by susan price

1 Fish, 2 Fish (quilt top from hell) by [email protected]
First off let me say that I would not wish this pattern on anyone. Number one the instructions for 3 different sizes which are hard to understand what they are saying or I am getting senile. laughing here. When you look at the cover picture you can tell the quilt is all on point. Everything is cut...

Question about bathrobe I don't like by Brian Christiansen
Several years ago, I made a bathrobe that kinda looks cool, I suppose, but I don't really like wearing it as a bathrobe. When I made it, I choose camouflage print denim, thinking it would soften up as I wash it. Well, that hasn't happened, I should have gotten something soft in the first...

New Home My Excel 15S lost manual by Kelley Greene
Hi folks, after 25 years the manual disappeared this week and we cannot find it anywhere. I about tore the place apart last night. It apparently sprouted legs and ran off. Looking online I found places that advertised the manual but when you get to the site they don't have it. This is so...
