Question About Sears Electronic Sewing Machine by
I've been wanting to use the script printing for my quilt labels,
however.......I've totally forgotten how to make the letters bigger than a
1/4" high. I can put all the letters in memory, etc., but my sewing book is
vague about the sizing. The lady at the store did it, but she's gone now
and I'm...

GLOWING SMILE by
[email protected]
Hi, All, just had to let you know my ABC Quilt group had their Sew In on
Monday, and I came home with 28 quilts finished and labelled! These
people are THE best. Our oldest is 82 and she hummed along on her
Featherweight all day; our youngest were two sisters, ages 9 and 7. They
came with their own...

ideas are popping by
judy in fort worth
I asked for some help with a t-shirt quilt here a few days ago and got some
good suggestions (thanks, all) but decided to just not mess with those nylon
shirts. I decided to add a photo of my niece in the empty corner. This
morning while trying to avoid getting up for work, I was thinking about...

I had a good day by
Julia in MN
Today my husband's aunt had an auction of most of her household stuff,
because she is moving into a small apartment. I think I got the best buy
of the day -- a beautiful pieced, hand quilted quilt that DH's
grandmother had made, probably at least 50 years ago. Here is a...

another new sewing machine by
dreamboat
Hi group,
I got me another new sewing machine last week. It is
a Euro Pro. I got it from the Home Shopping Network.
I never heard of the brand until I was looking at some
in Fingerhut catalogue. It is working just fine. It has
a lot of features on it. Too long a list to mention.
I got it for...

Finding Snowy Bleach by
Elaine-VA
There's nothing I've found that's better than Snowy Bleach for
brightening up vintage textiles. Except that now I can't find Snowy
Bleach anywhere locally (Reston in Northern Virginia). Nor have I
been able to find it on the Internet. Can anyone help?

Praise the Lord - I washed dishes in my new sink today! The DH took today
off to reconfigure the plumbing for the new sink and disposal since it
didn't work on Sunday. He did a fabulous job! I came home today to dinner
ready and served on my kitchen table! I bought new blinds today for...

OT Chicago in a day by
David & Barbara Schmidt
well, I won't be there long enough to go to any quilt shops, but husband
I are doing a whirlwind trip to Chicago on Friday. Up and back in one day.
It's a long story, but he works for Southwest airlines and we can fly
standby any where SWA flies to. One of our favorite cooking shows is

Hah! Victory! And a squishy! by
Kate Dicey
Yippee Yippeeeeeee! I won, I won!
This is just a little crow to celebrate that I won a minor appeal
against a decision by the Inland Revenue to impose a £100 penalty for
non-payment of National Insurance contributions that I didn't know I
needed to pay because they failed to tell me so when I...

cute cat quilt by
Suequiltmail
Hi all,
I was reading the newsletter from The Calico Cat quilt
shop over in Auburn, WA and they had a link to their
latest cat quilt pattern. I had seen it in their booth at
Sew Expo in Puyallup and thought it was hilarious.
Since my hubby is still a firefighter I particularly
liked the block of...

quilt finished!!! Rotary cutter acquired!!! by
Kirsten H. Sollie
Well, after months of denim circles cluttering up my sewing space, the denim
circle quilt is finally finished. It is on my bed and looks smashing. I did
have to replace the rug, shade, curtains and night lamps to make it all
match, plus buying new sheets :-) but it was worth it.
The quilt was easy...
