My own quilt by
Queen of Squishies
That's beautiful! Now, I would not redo a small mismatch like that, but
that's just me. They do not show at all in the overall picture. What size
will this pretty quilt-for-you be?

CQ update... by
Karlee in Kansas
(every time I see "cq" I want to think Charge of Quarters duty that DH gets
to pull on occasion) but anyway...
I have done 2 blocks, and started a 3rd. The first two were more tester
blocks than anything else. I wanted to play with different stitches, and
different doo-dads on it. The first is...

Sewing Machine stitch length question by
Monique Reed
Whatever you decide, remember this Law: The probability that you will
have to rip out and resew something is directly proportionate to the
shortness of the stitch you used. (It's those small, neat stitches
that will have to come out!)

star pattern search by
cozy
I'm having a vague memory that's driving me crazy. I remember seeing a
star pattern made up in a display in a fabric store... it's been maybe 15
years ago. The thing is, I can't remember the name of this particular block
and so I can't search it on the internet - well, I have tried, but no...

Jigsaw Puzzle Quilts by
Joan8904
(Thought I posted this previously, but don't see it. Forgive duplication.)
DH just put up pix on my website of several baby quilts made from a Jigsaw
pattern. Great fun to make. Small quilt top only takes four fat 1/4's!

OT - A trip to Hooters by
LN \(remove NOSPAM\)
A Trip to Hooters
A nun, really needing to go to the bathroom, walked into a local Hooters.
The place was hopping with music and dancing, but every once in a while, the
lights would turn off. Each time after the lights would go out, the place
would erupt into cheers. However, when the revelers...

Buying fabric from USA in Uk by
annie
HAving found a source of lovely wide backing fabrics-courtesy of
RCTQers, has anyone in UK bught from USA before?
What are the rules regarding import duty? Is there a limit below
which you don't get clobbered? If you go over the limit, how do they
collect it?
Whilst I like to support my LQSes,...

OT - Update your antivirus software by
Nina
Everyone should be sure that they've updated their antivirus software
and performed a scan. Yet another computer virus is making the rounds
on the internet. My DH volunteers for a community net and says that
almost half of the email is being stopped by their virus detector.

What is a Cat?
1. Cats do what they want.
2. They rarely listen to you.
3. They're totally unpredictable.

Half square triangle ruler by
Linda Ferdinand
I've just tried something new and I'm so tickled with it I'd like to share.
I'm working on a quilt that has created lots of fabric leftovers in the form
of short pieces of 2.5 inch strips.
Fons and Porter have been advocating an Omnigrid #96 ruler for cutting half
square triangles. I just take two...

A Froggin We Will Go by
KittyG
Why is seam ripping/ unstitching called "Frog stitching"? Is it because you
"leapfrog" over stitches picking out every other one or so, or is there a
more mysterious and obscure quilting story to be had there?
Just silly stuff to ponder as I'm...er...frogging.
