Hat quilt block by
Julia in MN
I'm looking for a quilt block pattern for a woman's hat, preferably
foundation paper pieced. Applique would be easier to design and I could
do that design myself pretty easily, but I prefer piecing. I may have to
work on coming up with something but it would prefer to find one already
done.

Just checked the catalogue for one of the LQSs (Quilts Northwest, in

we were talking about the other day. I got all excited, until I saw the
date. Feb. 22 and 23rd. Sofia is due on the 20th! :o(

Droool, slobber, drooool some more! There were so many fantastic quilts What

Backing problem solved! by
AliceW
I was reading the thread about the backing fabric being a tad too narrow and
knew exactly how that felt. I just used fusible batting on a baby quilt
yesterday and the backing was only 1.5 inches larger than the quilt top. I
was really worried that the quilting would pull it in too much and I...

just before going to bed and decided to put some of that on all around the
sore edges. You know ... the next day, my nose was so much better - the
sting...

anyone know of a batting fluffy like poly by
QUILTKITTY
Hey girls,
Does anyone know if there is a cotton batting out there that is somewhat
"fluffy"? I love cotton batting for it's ease in quilting but lean toward the
poly's for fluffiness when I do a lap size. But poly is difficult to quilt,
particularly the high loft variety.....ideally what I'd...

January progress on MY quilt by
CNYstitcher
I made a bit of progress with MY quilt today. No cutting or anything,
but progress, nonetheless.
I decided that I really needed to know how much fabric I had already
collected or been given before I bought any more, so I took Rebekah's
nap time as that opportunity. I have 47 different fabrics!!!...
