Quilt block name and info needed by
Margaret Henderson
A fellow needleworker on RCTN suggested I send this design to your group.
I'm hoping you can give me more information about my quilt design - Tree of
Hearts (I think).
I have had the quilt for over 20 years without being able to find the quilt
design in any book or exhibit I went to. Finally, a...

OT - new grandbaby by
marigold
Please help me welcome the newest member of our large family. James
Richard was born this evening at approx 7:22; weighing 6 lbs 1 oz; 18
3/4 inches long.
After weeks of false labor and hospital staff and doctors telling mom
"it will be any day now" "probably in the next 24 hours" and such...

Micron Pens by
Patti S
I've seen many posts about using Pigma Micron pens to sign your quilt
blocks, etc. Has anyone actually washed a quilt that had this particular
ink on a quilt block? They positively won't bleed, even under the
"harshest" of condtions (such as "dad" doing the laundry!)? I'm
beginning a project, and...

Hat Trick - Happy Dance by
Christina Doucette
I've been quiet lately because I have been finishing a few projects that
were piling up on the "nearly finished" pile. I got 3 finished...that called
a hat trick in hockey terms...LOL I have posted pics.

I won! by
Marcella Peek
Yippee!
Today our guild meeting was "Old quilts, New quilts" like you sometimes
see in quilters newsletter magazine. You signed up and brought your
first or early quilt and they put a number on it and hung it in the
room. Then everyone got up and showed a new quilt and gave one clue to
their...

12 Step Program by
Polly Esther
My name is Polly and I have made a mess. (Joining Alice, Kate, Leslie and
the others who have already cleansed their souls by confessing their
lapses.)
I discovered labels at the office supply store made "for quilts" by the
nice people who make all the really good labels for ordinary office...

2006-2007 RCTQ BOM by
Dannielle
How this BOM works is I will post block patterns each month near the
beginning of each month. One pieced, one appliqué and one paper
pieced. They will all be available for free from Marcia Hohn's
Quilter's Cache website. It is up to you which one (or ones) you would
like to do. You will work at...

curved machine piecing by
QuiltsWithCatFur
I would like suggestions for a book or maybe someone here that can tell me
how to machine piece curves, without tears, lumps, warps, cussing.

Happy dance -- new photos by
Julia in MN
I finally finished my Nana's Garden quilt. It was a WIP for quite a
while. It's probably been 7 or 8 years since I bought the book and the
border fabric. I finally got around to making the top about 3 years ago,
and finished the top about a year later. Last month, I got it out,
quilted it, and...

Meet-up with our Butterfly! by
Sandy Foster
Yup! Butterfly was in town yesterday, so we had a lovely time together.
:) Her DH and DS were spending the day on the lake, so I zipped over to
their hotel and picked her up for a little S.E.X.-pedition at "my" LQS.
Did I say "little"? Gosh, she bought out the store! She *says* she left
a little...

Linda's longarm show by
Taria
Looks like this is a new show for our area. I've seen it a couple
of times and it is interesting. DD was wandering through and stopped
to watch for a few minutes. Her comment was "that woman should be
training machine gunners". She just walked of shaking her head and sort
of laughing. I'll...

Alex Anderson! by
Anne in CA
I just got back from my LQS where they had a real live trunk show with
Alex!!! She is so lovely and warm and personable, it was like having a
show and tell in your best friend's living room (except there were about
150 other people there too). Seeing (and touching!) some of the quilts
from her...

Message traffic by
Cheryl in OZ
I get the feeling that I am missing a lot of posts. Every so often I get a
post that is obviously "mid-thread", but I never see the originator's
post(s).
There were only about 20 overnight for me. Anyone happen to notice how much
traffic there was so I can check?

Mystery Quilt Survey by
Betty in Wi
So who is doing the Mystery Quilt? Progress? Fabric used. Are you on
schedule? Are you having fun?
I am up to date! I love doing these things.....I am a very logical step by
step person and love following directions. I am using Thimbleberries from my
stash, but had to buy background fabric....

A "Guestbook" type quilt... what i mean is...
I'm having a surprise 65th for my mom (hope she doesn't read this :) ) and I
was thinking of putting out squares of fabric on each of the tables with
markers and have everyone write something on their square and then make a
quilt out of it..
So my...

30s repro FQs ? by
Chipper
Does anyone have a favorite site for FQ bundles of 30s repros? There is a
feedsack collection from Windham that is very bright and pretty, but I
haven't found a site that has a comprehensive FQ bundle. The Aunt Grace
series is nice too, although a bit more subdued.
I like the feel of the greens,...

Crap crap crap!! by
KJ
I was sewing on a border tonight and hit a pin. I hit it head on, bent it
down into my bobbin case and broke the needle! I got the fabric out without
tearing it, but now my needle is way out of line and things don't sound
right. I had planned to take my machine in on Monday for a servicing...
