help with hot pad fabric by
Laura
Can I use Polished Cotton to make hot pads? I have some extra quilt
squares made with polished cotton and I'd like to use them for hot
pads or pot holders but I'm afraid that the fabric will melt. Any
ideas?
Thanks

Discovered new Milwaukee shop by
nbhilyard
....well, new to me.
Bigsby's, at the corner of 124th and North Ave. in Brookfield. They sell
Pfaff and Bernina, lots of threads, and fabric.
I bought one spool of Aurifil, which other quilters have recommended (thin,
strong, no-lint) and a pattern ("Stash Jacket" by Four Corners). I...

HQing w/ variegated?? by
Allyson Brown
Okay, assuming I finish my UFO that's currently going well (despite SM
problems seen in previous post), I want to quilt it with a variegated thread
I have. However, since I'm really brutal at MQing, I was going to HQ. Does
HQing look okay w/ variegated or does the colour change get "jolted"...

rotten timing by

I was quilting away on the last hug quilt when I looked at my thread. I'm
almost out of thread and no more machine quilting thread to match so it's
off to contend with last minute shoppers.

compared to the yellow that even my fluorescents kick out...
SO I am lucky enough to have a hubby who pays that kind of attention
too, and my prezzie was a...
