sock knitting machine by
Sarah Billings
I'm looking for a useable antique sock knitting machine (Legare perhaps).
How well do they work? How fast is production?
Anyone with some advice for me?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone have instructions for Knitting Pal? by
Riker
Hi,
All I have is the small hand held Knitting Pal in a box. Five pieces
make up the loom and four hooks that connect together. It is pink or red. No
company name can be found on it but the plastic pieces say "made in Italy".
It's my daughter's. She lost the instructions years ago. I'ld like...

Help With Brother KH260 Attachments by
SueJohnston
Hi All
I have just purchased a secondhand Brother knitting machine KH260. I
wondered if there are any attachments available for it. I see many
advertised, but I do not know if they are suitable for my machine. I
wanted a knit leader and have seen a few KL116's for sale. Are they
compatible...

Help Needed by
Helen \Halla\ Fleischer
I have seen people leave the ribber on by using a tilt stand and ribber
covers. I've also seen people use the ribber covers and not bother to tilt
the stand to the level position. If you do experiment with that, remember
to go gently and check after each pass of the lace carriage to see if...

I bought the program on Ebay a couple months ago. I originally bought it for
the Instant Stitch but having been using it more for the sweater program
lately. I really like it. The only problem I've had is the PM Stitch Viewer
which I assume is the PM Stitch Project Collection that is says on the...

Machine Knitting Challenge !? by
Joy Hardie
I havn't pulled my machine out in several years. I am certain I
wouldn't even remember how to cast on. I am 42 years old and got my
machine while living for a year in England. My husband felt so sorry
that I had to leave my sewing machine back in the states for fear of
the electronics getting...

Machine Knitting by
Joy Hardie
Hi,
I was beginning to feel like the machine knitting world had left
me behind. It seemed like EVERONE was getting electronic and getting
rid of their old punchcard machines. So many of the new beautiful
patterns were only able to be done on the electronic it was
disheartening.
I really only read...

GARTER STITCH FABRIC!! by
ox
I just ordered USM online yesterday. I have no idea how good it'll
work, so I'll have to wait and see (good thing is it can be returned).
I bought this machine because I need to reduce my stash of yarns.
If you own a USM machine, would you mind answering to my questions?
1. Can it it GARTER...

Let's talk!! by
Kari
Hi,
I have been signed into this newsgroup for a few months, and also another
group (RCTYarn).
I was beginning to think that I was one of the Minority Machine
Owners/Users! I also felt a bit "out of place" as the yarn posters were
mainly knitting by hand!
They had problems I couldn't envisage. At...

Knit It magazine by
Quin Filips
Can anyone get me a copy of the first Knit It magazine made by Better
Homes and Gardens? I already tried them to no avail. I would like to
surprise my wife with it because she can't find it anywhere either and
she loves the second issue.
Thanks,
Quin

magazines - best one? by
Joy Hardie
Hello,
Several years ago I got three different machine knitting magazines.
After a while I let the subscriptions expire, but now I have decided I
would like my family to renew one for my Christmas gift (if they
want). I know some of the magazines had some pretty fuddy looking
stuff, and some of...
