Why I don't post very often. by
Janet
Hello Everyone,
I enjoy reading this group. I don't get much time on the computer
because I share it with my family. I read Jessemey's nice note about
some members are not posting because they don't feel comfortable. I
just don't have the time to do it. I do feel you are all my friends
and I...

Europe RCTQ box swap 2007 (no sewing involved!!) by
Morag in Scotland
Announcing the 2007 Europe box swap, open now for participants to register
their interest.
Here's what I'm planning. After sorting through my stash of fabric, I will
fill a shoebox sized box with bits and pieces I no longer want. I will then
mail it to the first person on the list. They will...

Happy Dancing by
Julia in MN
I finally finished the nursery set for DD's first baby, due in about 10
days. She picked out the pattern and the main fabric in November, but
other stuff kept getting in the way, so this has been a lengthy project.
I made a crib quilt, bumper, dust ruffle, and 2 window valances. The
quilt is...

Washable Crayola markers... not washing out.. by
Johanna Gibson
Hello,
Every time I have used Crayola washable markers to draw a quilting
design, they have washed out at the slightest bit of cold water
hitting the fabric.
So I wanted to embroider a lavender design onto a white
handkerchief, and used a red Crayola washable marker in order to see
where I was...

OT Brush Fires in FL by
Debi Matlack
Ok, these are getting a little close to home for my comfort. Probably within
10 miles or so. Fortunately, we are a relatively sparely populated county,
but still, smelling smoke and knowing the source is close in a bit
unnerving. Though, maybe a good sign is that the shelter that was opened at...

Quilting for kids by
Apest
Hello!
I need some ideas, A friend asked me what she can do with some girl
scouts of her group working on a sewing badge.
They are aged from 7 to 10, and the only requirement is something that
can hand sewn at a summer camp (I think also something that could be
useful for summer camping).
Had...

A new toy! by

It is the Ottawa guild's annual quilt show this weekend - I enjoyed
rootling around at the vendors' stalls - lots of items to choose from
- I came home with 2 charm packs, 4 scrap bags and 11 fat quarters and
best of all - I came home with a Husqvarna embellishing machine! I
had been talking with...

Take a lovely shopping trip by
Polly Esther
Okay. I'm enabling. So many times I've been searching for a particular
color and obviously don't use the same name that the designer or quilt shop
data entry person calls it. Quite by accident I found a new way to play the
game. Tonight I went over to www.quiltshops.com and under 'item...

House sale, please keep fingers crossed by
Marigold
We just accepted a conditional offer on our house today, so I'm hoping that
the new place will have room for my hobbies! I must say that I am rather
stressed about the whole move idea as we have put in 3 different offers in
the last couple of months and they have all fallen apart. If all goes...

Obviously I have "dropped off the loop" again.
One of the posts said "Thanks Cheryl" and it was Patti

Karen, Queen of Squishies
I recently received, and today just tried for the first time, my Bare
Minerals make-up. Wow! How tasteful, and how pretty! I no longer have to
look like death warmed over, not even now. And it's amazing how it doesn't
even really look like make-up. Thank you, all of you, who talked about...

envelopes by

For those using them, where do you find clear envelopes for mailing
embellished postcards? I found one source on the web, but you have to buy
in batches of 100. I won't live long enough to use that many!

Bought a sewing machine and also OT by
grammykathy
I went to a garage sale today and bought a Singer Futura II. Not sure
how old it is but the book was copywrited 1973. Paid $15.00 for it and
it is supposed to work. It has it's own cabinet. Did I do good?
I also went to the Dr. Fri and I am now on meds for my breathing. I
just started them...
