I have a quilt I will be completing within the next couple months and want to use prairie points for the border. I have looked at directions on line and it seems fairly easy. Any tips or things I should be aware of? -- Boca Jan Florida - Land of the...

border colour question by Irrational Number
I think I want two borders - would dark, light, then dark binding look okay? The center portion contains black and whites and various shades of pink and purple. I'm thinking of a 1" dark purple strip, then a lighter 4-5" pinkish strip, then a dark purplish binding. Thanks, Anita

Two items I would really like to have need input by Roberta Zollner
Don't own one, but I wonder how long is the warranty? If it's less than 5 years, that tells you something. (My Pfaff had a 5-year warranty when I bought it.) Machines of all kinds have a depressing tendency to die a week after the warranty expires. Roberta in D "Jacqueline in KY" quilter at...

OT I'm back by Cats
Do hope all had a wonderful Christmas. I just hit catchup on all messages - far too many to go through all of them - so if I should have responded to anything please forgive me. Many thanks to those that remembered me over Christmas. I will try to respond individually over coming days. Hugs...

Remind me please... batting and fleece by Sartorresartus
I've just finished a quilt-to-be-made-into-a-quillow for M-in-law. (Before you think anything, this _was_ supposed to be a Christmas present, but the bears fought back before they would put their paw prints on my quilt! She'll get it for her birsthday in July now, IF all goes well!) I thought I...

Hi Guys, I absolutely MUST recommend Wish Upon A Quilt ( http://www.wishuponaquilt.com )! My DNiece is expecting in mid February, the baby shower is 13 January and she decided just before New Years that she wanted to use Peter Rabbit stuff as the nursery theme! I had promised her a crib...

Xmas colours by Jack Campin - bogus address
Anyone else here find the combination of dark green, scarlet and gold utterly revolting? Every fabric shop is themed that way at the moment. Roll on saltire blue for Burns Night, pink for Valentines, or when's Beige Week? ANYTHING but this! ============== j-c ====== @ ====== purr . demon ....

OT My is this not a wonderful day by NightMist
So Stripey is acting all pitiful and demanding much attention, and who can blame her. She can't see the vet just yet because we don't have the money for it. Both school age kids have been home sick all day. DH picked up the wrong size staples for the staple gun so work on my studio has stalled. It...

ugly...ugly by pami
Gosh..... this sounds so awful but it has made me smile. When my friend Melody and I began to swap fabric charms years ago we described many as butt ugly and she said they made the best scrappy quilts. I told Polly I wanted to make one of those scrappy quilts so ugly only a mother could love....

New pix at my Webshots by Debra
Well I've got a back problem keeping me from sewing so I decided to do something about my online pictures. I've added my rctq BOM applique blocks to my page and made an album for Mom's quilts. The Rose Dream quilt that first brought me to rctq is the second one in Mom's Quilts. I'll have to get...
