Fons & Porters Quilting Club? by SewVeryCreative
Does anyone here belong to this club? If so, do you like it? Do you feel it was worth it? I just joined, after seeing all those ads for it in my magazines and the hype on the F&P site ... and I just toured the area and I just don't feel like it was really worth the money. Right now, I'm just...

Singer Magic Steam Press by teleflora
I was given this steam press and it seems to work pretty well, there just wasn't a manual with it. It has buttons and handles and I don't know what they all do. Does anyone here own such a creature? It sure flattens blocks! Cindy

Photos posted by Sunny[_2_]
http://www.flickr.com/photos/onetexsun/?saved=1 Here's the last stuff I've been up to. I have minimal photos of the hug quilt I made for my friend. We took pics with the disposable, but almost all of them were out of focus or wonky in some way. No record of the full quilt. But maybe that's how it...

Welcome back! by Louise in Iowa
I've seen a couple of names today that I hadn't seen in a while: Rose in CA and Tricia in Petoskey (hope I spelled that right). Granted, my newsreader is kind of flaky sometimes, so maybe I just hadn't seen your messages, but regardless, it's good to see both of you again. -- Louise in...

Went shopping.......... by Marie Dodge[_3_]
Today I went into the city. Ugh, the traffic. Between Hancocks and Wally World's fabric dept. I spent $95. I found the foot I wanted for my old NewHome at MidSouthSewing Center. :^) Also found the clear acetate sheets for see-through templates and I bought a load of new fabric. Never mind I...

Great service--online shopping by monique
I saw Marshall Dry Goods mentioned here a while back, so I went to take a look. They have some fun stuff! I put in an order on Tuesday; package came on Friday or Saturday. From what I can tell, first quality goods, at about half the price of the LQS. Since I can't always get to the LQS, I was...

NewHome machine quit......... by Marie Dodge[_2_]
Well this new machine just quit working. There are no more stitches. The motor sounds fine. The needle goes up and down. I looked in the bobbin case and there's no lint, no burs, nothing. The needle goes up and down fine but doesn't sew sew. What could have happened? I didn't use this...

Sewing space ideas by John
I came across this site, while doing a web search for something else. While I don't agree with everything the author says about sewing areas, She does have some interesting ideas for designing sewing areas.I especially liked the small closet spaces that she uses for complete sewing spaces. They...

I guess I'm a collector now by teleflora
DH comes home lugging two sewing machines today. Both Singer - one model 15 and the other 15K. I am getting good at looking them up. Looks like 1950 & 1948 respectively. Great shape. Covered in dirt, but all the gold looks intact. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. But I'll have...

PING: TinaR by SewVeryCreative[_3_]
Are you managing to stay dry? So far, for us in PCB, school's been closed for tomorrow and the local base seems to be closed to all non-essential personnel ... plus, every street near us is flooded (ours isn't *yet*). How are you all doing? Did you get the nasty yet or are you waiting for...

African textile art by Boca Jan
My step-son just returned from Africa (Tanzenia) and brought me back some great gifts, all fabric/art. I like reptiles and have a few in my sun room, so the art is appropriate. I hope you will visit my webshots and see. I am so pleased. http://community.webshots.com/album/562583552YgcOqf
