US Federal tax question (a bit long, but HELP!) by
Bobbie Sews More
Just go to the nearest tax office----you probably could ask someone at the
school or city government where it is--and go there to get someone to help
you in just a few minutes. Be sure to take your copy of you 2008 AND 2007
taxes with you. That way, you know things are correct. If it were...

Reach Your Goal by Affirming and Visualizing! by
[email protected]
Your thoughts determine whether you reach your goal or not. If you are
constantly in a negative state of mind or succumb to fears and doubts,
then your goal will remain far from your reach. But if you feed your
mind with positive thoughts and imagine yourself having reached that
goal already, then...

I have encountered Lynne on the Mudcat folk music forum and hadn't
looked at her embroidery work before. Amazing stuff. Most of it
probably burned up by now.

doing your own quilting-long by
Taria
After reading the comment from Alice about doing her own quilting I just
wanted to encourage folks to at least give it a try. Baby and lap size
charity quilts are perfect pieces to practice technique on. The small
size makes learning a bit easier. I am always pushing folks to buy the
Harriet...

Karen Antalek
Is anyone thinking of going to the quilt show in Kirtland, Ohio, at
the FarmPark? It's always a wonderful show, and open for quite some
time. It begins Feb 13, and is up until March 25. The quilt vendor
weekend is Feb 28 and March 1. And there are several workshops offered
too, if any...

Helpful Household Hints Part II by
Polly Esther[_5_]
On Jan 5 we began the ordeal of replacing the hard floors. (and the stove).
Painfully, terribly, I miss quilting. Please help me get the final (I hope)
minor obstacles over with.
Something has tracked in on the beautiful new flooring. The flooring is
resilient vinyl. The 'something' is...

'stringy things' off of it. That's how the primates do it

Another handbag. the last for awhile. by
John
This is the final one of the series of various sized carrying bags I
have done for my wife, that are made from left over quilting squares.
This is a large handbag, or very small suitcase, whichever you choose.
It is meant for use as a carry on piece for airline travel. I made it
to her...

OT Ad. Do not read by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Well, it's not really an ad and you can read this if you want to. I was
taking a break from the Sewing Room Massacre and wandered around looking at
quilt fabric online sales. Found a good one. Fabric Shack has a beautiful
white by Michael Miller for $ 2.98 yd. White is not something I use a...

Anyone have any interest in empty thread spools. I have probably 10 or 12
of them. Don't want to throw away just in case.

Silk Fabric Scraps by
Tia Mary
Hi Guys,
I was going through my silk stash and realize I have lots of
different silk fabric scraps and no plans for them. I know I won't use
them in anything I have planned and would be happy to send them to a
good home. They are all different colors and prints and would be great
in a...

My light burned my face! by
Sunny[_2_]
I finally got an Ott-Lite about a year ago. It sits on top of a shelf
above my sewing machine and shines down on my head.
I'm doing a special project right now and while working on the ironing
board, I pulled the lamp down to shoulder level for some really tight
work. I had it there off and on all...
