Help me find this fabric! by
Johanna Gibson
I recently found (on an online shop) a fabric which had green
fields and houses, and the perspective was from an airplane looking
down. I thought it would make a good playmat for small children to
run their cars and trains over. Now I cannot find it anywhere! I
seem to recall it was a new...

machine quilting historically that is... by
Taria
Take a look:
http://hartcottagequilts.com/his9.htm
When you look at history of machine quilting it goes back
longer than you might think.
I am kind of partial to the frame that hangs from the
ceiling myself. Maybe there is something to go from with
that idea.

Old Age and Stealth by
Polly Esther[_2_]
The pattern Snugly Bugly, Stella Divine by Amy Bradley called to me. The
pattern calls for what we call raw-edge appliqué - not acceptable with the
probability of brutal laundry so I'm forced to improvise. When I came to
the eyes, after studying them a minute, I realized that they are a circle...

Baby quilt for the surrogate baby I'm pregnant with. All machine
quilted. Pics though of the quilt are taken before I washed ironed and
starched it for presenting it to mommy. But I'm really impressed that it
lays perfectly flat. No wrinkles or puckers, so we must be improving. It
should be the...

quilting is once again in my future!! by
off kilter [email protected]
Yay!! It's actually been a while since I made a quilt of any kind.
However, as I'm finishing up projects, I'm also getting ready to get
to work on an Areil quilt for the daughter of a friend. I have the
first blocks cut out, but they have been sitting on the design wall
for about a year. I think...

My Happy Dance by
Hanne Gottliebsen
Just realised my post got in with another thread with "Happy Dance" as
the name - sorry about that!
So, with not much time to spare I did finish the baby quilt before my
God daughter's (well, not quite, but I only know the Danish term for
this) Christening on Sunday past.
Here are pictures of...

TSWLTH and Wonder Under by
Kathy Applebaum
First let me say that TSWLTH here in Woodland has a well deserved reputation
for being quilter UN-friendly. I know other JoAnn's are different, but this
one is not a pleasure to shop at.
My wholesaler was out of WonderUnder, and I desperately needed more. I head
off the TSWLTH with coupon in hand,...

getting rid of smoke in fabric by
lisa skeen
Hey y'all,
On eBay I won a bunch o' pieces this woman had cut for a quilt and never
used - a purple hand-dye, a lavender print, and white squares with diagonals
already drawn on in pencil for making rectangles with white corners,
whatever that's called.
Anyhoo, I opened the box and it reeks of...

OT OMG! Judy Blume Movies! by
NightMist
I know this isn't quilt related, but I'll bet that most everybody here
has read at least some Judy Blume books at one time or another.
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/08/movies/08BLUM.html
In a nutshell, Disney has apparently agreed to produce _Deenie_ and
has taken options on more books.
It is...

had entered the Hoffman challenge this year. I found out that I did not
win a prize :-( but they did keep my quilt for the traveling exhibit.
My quilt is part of group "E" and will be at the Northwest Quilting Expo
at the...
