OT Cat and Mouse by
NightMist
Jiji is going to be just unbearable for a couple of weeks now.
He caught himself a mouse.
He has taken it into every room with someone in it dropped it, put a foot
on it, and proclaimed his hunting prowess loudly.
Now he is merely lounging with one foot on the thing and telling us all
about it...

How important?? by
Kelly[_3_]
I am a quilter and it is really important to me. I am also a 50 year old
woman who has had severe RA (rheumatoid Arthritis) for 13 years with an
added complication of neurological damage and pain on my right side for the
past 3 years (a side effect of one of my meds.)
I quilt as much as I can...

In November I went off to a sewing retreat and had a great time. At the end
of March I went on another and had a great time...one problem, I couldn't
find my legs! To my acrylic sewing table! I searched high and low and
could not find those puppies.
Now I'm getting ready to go on another...

OT choosing a kitty QI by
Polly Esther
I really don't know when or if I will ever be able to adopt a kitty. Our
beloved Sweet Pea died of Addison's Disease more than a year ago and it was
such a hard time for all of us. But - assuming we take a deep breath and
dive in, what do you suggest? Our local newspaper bombards us with...

A gift from you to you? by
Polly Esther
If you were to choose just one quilting book for a present to yourself,
which would it be? The way I get "just what I've always wanted" is exactly
that - I get it.
Just wondering if there's a special new quilting book out there that you
have found that is a "gotta have". Since there are now...

Broken Foot by
Christina in Ok
I once again find myself in a fix.
I started a quilt back in April before I was hurt I had the top finished, it
just needed to be pined and quilted.
Today I got to pin the scrappy quilt ( its about twin size, or just a bit
smaller) I took it to the sewing machine, and started quilting it ( with...

Guess who won a quilt? Guess who has a problem with said prize? by
Pat in Virginia
Today I won a quilt at a church raffle. It is an embroidered quilt. The
fabric was purchased with the blue dots for the embroidery and for the hand
quilting stitching. The maker finished the quilt and did not remove the blue
dots. She may even have pressed the quilt top. In any case, the quilt...

I'm back!!!! by
A&T[_2_]
I'm doing backflips over the fact that Houston Comcast and Earthlink have
now gotten my news server back up.
I don't like that I am back in Outlook Express, but maybe it won't be too
long until I can use Thunderbird again.
Hugs to those who have needed them, cheers and happy dances to those who...

a challenge by
Jessamy
It occurred to me today (while I had a house full of visitors) that it might
be really intimidating for a person to introduce themselves into a room full
of strangers at a social event and that usually the hostess would do some
intro's and make sure that the person is looked after and happy.
In a...

American Rotary Model R40 by
[email protected]
Hello, I am trying to find a 'threading diagram' for my machine, an
American Rotary model # R40. A friend gave it to me a few years back
and I never checked it to see if it worked until now. All I found in
the cabinet were some bobbins but no instructions on how to thread it
or how to advance the...

Seeking recommendation for sewing machine extension table by
- dlm.
Hello!
I own an Elna 6003 Quilters Dream sewing machine. My sewing table is
nothing more than a flat desk with the SM sitting on top. I've always
had difficulty with free-motion quilting, so I've decided to take
another class. One of my not-so-local QS recommends the use of an
extension table...

OT had to share this one by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Down in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, Boudreaux gets a job with BP helping
with the oil spill cleanup. He reports for work and is told to speak to a
supervisor about his assignment.
He finds the man and asks, "What it is I supposed to do?"
The supervisor tells him to go to the animal shelter and...

I had a 50% off coupon that was expiring on the 3rd so I went in that day.
They had some fabric that I wanted on sale. But when I gave the coupon to
the girl cutting the fabric she rang it up at regular price and said that
with a coupon it automatically prices at regular price, that I can't get...

Fons & Porter has a Halloween jack o'lantern pattern called Happy Jack. It
was in their magazine in Sep 1999. I know I have this magazine, but I can't
find it. Does anybody know if the pattern is available either seperately or
in a book? I can get the back issue of the magazine, but I was wondering...
