Base for floor lamp needed by
[email protected]
Does anyone know of any sources for lamp bases for floor lamps stained
glass shades? I have a very large stained glass dragonfly shade that
I built years ago and need a sturdy antique repro base. Have not been
able to find anything.
Thanks in advance.

Basic prism question by
twocranks
I have no backgroung in glasswork, but was entranced by a glass cube (3
inch cube) that I belive was made of small prisms. A white light was
shone from underneath and presumably split within the cube by the many
prisms and them shone out. Each visible face of the small prisms on the
outside face of...

Bathroom window tinting? by
Bart V
I've been asked a couple of times what I could do to have windows
(like bathroom, sliding patio doors) provide better privacy. Removing
them for sandblasting or etching is not an option (not set up for
that). Unless etching can be done while the glass is vertical (mounted
in the door)? I got to...

Beginner's Fusing Kiln by
Jeff Cochran
I'm looking for recommendations on a beginner's kiln for fusing. Been
looking at a Jen-Ken jewelry kiln for about $360, infinite switch and
analog pyrometer, mostly because the dealer I like for my stained
glass is selling these and including an introductory pack of Wasser
glass. Looking at 110v...

Bench Legs by
James Laws
I love to make benches but I am having a devil of a time finding a source
for bench legs. The molds available through stained glass supply houses are
too plain. I like the common scholl design seen on many benches. Any
ideas?

Bending Plate Glass by
Mark Jones
Hi, weird question, can plate glass be bent slighly without a furnace?
I'm wondering about putting a slight (0.1=B0 or so) bend into the=20
centers of two pieces of 1/4" thick, 12" square plate glass. This is=20
so that the two could be pressed bowed-sides together and have a=20
slight pressure...
