so....you want to talk copying? by
tatercat
Walk a mile in my shoes....
The polymer clay community has to be one of the worst concerning the
copying battle. To most of them...if they can see it...they can try to
copy and sell it.
When I call a person I get trashed from one end of the internet to the
other...called names I shall not repeat...

OT- About me and Husband - Long by
Empress Beads
Well I had not mentioned it here yet. But my husband and I had not been
getting along at all. He is never one to bring up conversation that he is
unhappy in our relationship. I am always the one who has to sit down and
have "the talk." EVERYTIME. He ingnores me by playing video games...

Anklet length question by
Helen C
What size anklet would you all wear? I've been getting orders for anklets
with the spiral stitch and I've found the easiest way is to have someone
measure their ankle and go from there. Does this sound right? So, this
means every one I've made is custom but it would be nice to make some up...

Cord for lampwork beads by
Christina Peterson
I have some focals I'd like to feature simply on a cord. With a little
silver and maybe a couple accents.
What is a good cord to use?
For myself I'd probably just want to put it on a soft leather or suede cord,
and just knot it in the back. Even make it up as the mood strikes me. Some
of the...

OT (semi) Sewing machine by
Christina Peterson
Sewing is on topic if you (plan to) sew on beads, isn't it? I'm ordering a
sewing machine manual for a Brother XL 2010. It's an "older" machine. But
it's got 18 stitches and looks clean and well cared for. Got it at the
dump! I don't sew much. Partly because my sewing machine is almost...

Haunted House Update: OT by
Tink
I met a neighbor from two doors down yesterday. Her husband is a police
officer, and they have lived in the neighborhood for a number of years. This
is a real community, and people know one another and help each other out.
Anyway, we had a big dumpster/rolloff thing for the weekend, as we had a...

what is everyone working on? by
Beadseeker
I've been taking a break from designing, but will get back to it as soon as my
Soft Flex order arrives. I'm curious - what projects is everyone working on?
I'm planning on doing more healing bracelets with breast cancer pink ribbon
charms and donating 10% of the sales to the Susan G. Komen...

Organizing question (lampworkers HELP) by
Vedis Jansdottir
Hello, me again.
Just wondering how all you lampworkers out there organize your
stringers. I have my glass all pretty and organized in cardboard
tubing (not for the hot stuff obviously) But my stringers are all
handmade and difficult to keep track of.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the warning because I need to mail a couple of bags of bott boi

Intro and newbie question by

Hello everyone!
I'm new to the group and thought I should post the obligatory intro :)
My name is Candace and I live in Pelham, a suburb slightly south of
Birmingham, AL. I'm a lampworker and I obsessively collect beads of
all types. I've been melting glass since 1997 and collecting beads

Oh My God - a mothering crisis by
Marisa Cappetta
Are you making the dress, Kathy? If you allow extra seam allowance (I allow
an extra 3cm), make the dress out of unbleached calico using the largest
stitch length, make all the necessary seam adjustments and/or body length
adjustments (I have to shorten the body on almost all patterns for myself)...

How to remove plastic/rubber liner from bottle caps? by

If anyone has an idea I would offer you my firstborn for it :) (ok, so
there is no firstborn) I am seriously stuck on this one. I have tried
boiling them and also using acetone nail polish remover (both ideas I
found on the internet).
If the bottle caps have a thin round rubber ring I can boil...
