Mixing cotton/polyester with all cotton??? and quilting on fleece by

Hi all..
Okay so i'm starting to put together a hug quilt and i found a beautiful
fabric that i would like to use for the sashing, but it's poly/cotton
blend.. and most of the blocks are all cotton... do you think it's okay to
use? should i wash it first? i'm afraid :(

I have a 1/4 foot with a little metal edge guide, as I'm sure most of you
do. Has anyone ever heard of a similar foot with an 1/8 inch guide on it? I
have projects other than quilting that I could use it for.

THANK you so much for remembering us. My daughter is bringing Bob home as

Family CS 1909 sewing machine up and running! :) When I get some more
needles for Mrs Jones, I can plan a project.
