I have finally dug out the sewing table....how did all this PAPER get
here??? I could understand if it was all fabric, and there was a LOT of
that, but PAPER????? Trash got picked up yesterday, and already the

LQS Bargains! by
Nbhilyard
Quilters Dream in Antioch, IL, is moving to new quarters on the next block (no
pun intended!) at the end of the month. The only fabric special is "25% off
if you buy the bolt," but most of the bolts are pretty full. However, they're
clearing out miscellaneous patterns and notions -- and books. ...

Fort Washington,PA show by
[email protected]
Just returned from the show and saw Tutu's Dear Jane. It was awesome and
perfection. Well done! Also saw Kris's manhole cover WUH. Also well
done! Met up with AliceW, her DH, (the photographer) and Frood. The gals
were awesome, too, in their animal prints, and Wendy's bracelet tattoo
was groovy. A...

Kate G.
Julie --
It was so great to meet you. I really enjoyed talking with you. I wish I
had more time -- but as one of 5 on the show committee... I had to keep
moving.
I would love to hear your critique of the show. I'm not looking for praise
here -- but would really appreciate any constructive...

OT Much ado about muffin by
earthmagic
Thanks to everyone who helped me with my muffin crisis. I came to the
conclusion that the muffin tin is too big for my small electric stove. The
element is on the bottom, and the hot air was trapped. At least that's what
I reckon, because today I made some good muffins in the wood stove,...

I didn't make it to the Sewing Expo (sigh) by
juliasb(nospam)
The best laid plans of mice and men.... sigh Well I didn't make it
to the American Sewing Expo over the weekend. Believe me I did my best
to get there. I was even within a mile of the expo center and time was
not on my side so we had to just drive by and I waved as we passed the
convention...

Quilt shops in Tokyo? by
me
I will be in Tokyo from 28 September for a week and am interested to know
where to find the local quilting outlets. Searching the web provides a lot
of information (I think) in Japanese only and that unfortunately does not
help me too much. Personal input is always best and will be...

Antique White SM by
Clooniff
Remember that old White that I found at the curb? Someone suggested she
might have the table. Today I saw her and asked. YES! In fact, they have
two tables. She's going to ask her husband about letting me buy them. One
has been refinished, but she couldn't remember if it was the one the...

Okay, the Star in my Lone Star is machine quilted. Now I need to put on a

The original purpose of the group was to "squishie" every member with
