CNYstitcher

well as the scrappy quilt I started a while ago for my daughter-to-be,
and possibly a 3rd quilt for the church lady....gotta see if I actually
have the...

Getting ready for tomorrow's quilty day by
julia sidebottom
Now that the 'event' as the dr. calls it has ended and I am feeling much
better, I pulled the fabric that I had pre- washed for the boarders of
my UFO log cabin quilt. Everything is set up so that when I get up in
the morning I will be able to get right to work on it.
I will have to move my...

We have power!!!!! by
julia sidebottom
Believe me I am counting my blessings! Only about 700,000 of us have
power now and about another 1.7 million are in the dark. Hopefully
everything will be restored by Monday. At that we are in small pockets
depending on how much each grid is able to handle or the size of the
grid servicing a...

back for Washington, mostly OT by
Lisa Ellis
Hi,
I just got back from visiting a friend in Snohomish, WA. This was not
really a quilt related trip, just a chance to visit with my friend and
climb a bit with her.
I did make it to a large fabric store in Everett (Pacific Fabric?). I
forgot my quarter inch rule, and as I was using it to help...

a friendly story by
Pati Cook
Marlene, if you know Liberty, you may know (of) Lone Tree. Much of Lone Tree
used to be my family. The family reunion is/was there every summer. My dad's
family name is Hacke, and his mom was a Bell. Most of them are gone now, but
I have fond memories of the area.
Pati, in Phx (originally...

LQS for sale - MN by
Helen McEvoy-Freese
Just noticed in my fall newsletter that Karol is selling the Sampler in
Chanhassen (MN). If interested, call the store.
I don't work there, I just buy there, and no finders' fees have been
promised if anyone from here buys it ---although you could remember me :) .

Hi there and welcome!
Start where you like! If you have sewed before, ie clothing I believe
quilting will be a snap, changing from 5/8" seam alllowance to 1/4" is hard
to accept but that's the way its done.....I admire you for not being afraid
to try SNW....but I think you need to start with say...

quilt class nearly done, but........ by
CNYstitcher
what do you do when your remaining student forgot the whole "Iron seams
as you go"? rule??
Teresa has made a lovely twin-size quilt for her new grandson (she
wanted it to be something he could use for a while), and did all the
sewing by hand - she has an aversion to machines. She is finding,...

Fun evening by
Neeej
Last night, Alex Anderson gave a presentation at a local sewing store---whee!
She's a very entertaining speaker---gave sort of a "how I got to where I am"
illustrated with quilts. At the following Q&A afterwards, somebody asked about
the coming threatened cutback in SQ episodes. She couldn't talk...

Wide prequilted fabric by
Loreen Robbins
I am looking for wide prequilted fabric. It can be backed with nylon or a
second fabric. The only thing I can find is 45inches. Anyone know of a
source for 60 inch or wider?
Thanks,
Loreen
