Off and On Topic-How did I get into this by
Dawn In Alberta
The off topic part is that today I had my stairs done, carpeting is now gone
and lament wood flooring is down. It looks great it should also help with
the allergies, but not much since I am also allergic to my cats but as they
say an allergy pill a day keeps the wheezing at bay as well as the...

Kay Ahr[_2_]
At least for me, I'm finally working hard. Got two quilts sandwiched this
week - the Celebration Quilt Top and the Carol Doak September BOM. Then
finished piecing the Bento Box. All in my Webshots "Quilts in Progress"
album.
Also been researching Art Nouveau - Art Deco tulips and vines for...

Hi Everyone, I was watching QNN on the internet last week but was
interupted by DS wanting to speak to me on WLM and I didn't catch
everything about it but it looked really neat. The lady (didn't catch
her name either) was showing how to applique by (and let's see if I
can explain this) doing a...

Who would have known? by
Alice
A group of five quilting friends got together over the summer to make some
charity baby quilts. One lady is brand new to quilting, so we thought this
was an easy project and would help her learn some basics. Also, it is a
requirement of our Guild to submit at least one quilt a year for...

using stripes by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I have some Christmas fabric that I found reduced, I'm just planning
what to do with it. One piece is stripy, I'm just wondering if anyone
had any ideas for what to do with it - I think I know the various
options for binding, I'd also thought of using it for the border, either
mitered, or with...

California Final Chapter by
shhdesigns
We woke up to cloudy skies in Eureka and headed up the northern coast of
California into Oregon. In Crescent City we found two antique shops that
opened up by 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning. The skies were starting to clear,
in Gold Beach we stumbled upon another Quilt Show! It was small but...

A new machine!!!....actually, two new machines! by
Alice
I attended the PA Quilt Extravaganza last Thursday and spent my time trying
out machines. I'd been thinking and talking about a new machine for a
couple years. About an hour before closing, I made up my mind and bought a
Babylock 6600 Quest! It has every feature imaginable (except...

Husqvarna Sapphire by
teleflora
I just found out that Husqvarna has released a Sapphire 870 in Europe. I
don't know when it will be released here in the States.
It has what it calls "Selective Thread Cutter". I guess that means it's
automatic.
It has the mirror image mode. That's not something I use, but my friend is...

new quilter Braves Fan - Pictures of 2 choices of design by
Braves Fan
Ok... Here are my two choices. I really like the choice one, but
something isn't quite right about it. So I think I'm going to end up
going with choice 2. I just like the 4 box squares in the choice 1.
If anyone can come up with a way to even it out or find out what makes
it look like...

OT Hi from Downunder by
CATS
I have just been (very very gently) taken to task for not
reporting in more often. To those who were wondering -
no, I have not fallen off the bottom of the globe lol!
I have a LARGE PC screen now, and am about to go off and see
about new glasses. Hopefully these things will help me get...

the order I put it in.

two pics added by
Idahoqltr[_2_]
I just added pics of my two latest WIPs at end of album
http://good-times.webshots.com/album/560186280pMUpLB
The fireworks need more rayon threads stitched around outside edges.
The bargello heart has a long ways to go, but it goes pretty fast when
I work on it.

I was just curious about the RCTQ directory ... is there some way to add my
name/info to it? Or do I have to be invited? voted upon?
Please forgive the questions and the duh-factor obvious in this post! :-)
Thanks in advance! :-)

quarter-square triangles? by
Karen, Queen of Squishies
Do you draw those lines on the fabric criss-cross both ways and sew both
ways all in one fell swoop? Then cut both ways and have four cute little
sets of quarter-square triables? Or is it done in two steps? Never done
this before. Thanks,
Karen, Queen of Squishies
