Cheryl Isaak
Ok - I am already to try punch needle, but keep seeing "weavers cloth". I
don't see it locally, easily that is!
Any thoughts on substitutions?
Thanks gang!

More Arts and Crafts stuff by
Cheryl Isaak
I've been reading, in piecemeal fashion, Studies in Design by Christopher
Dresser.
http://tinyurl.com/4wvf9
I've been wonder if any one has adapted his work to cross stitch or surface
work. It's really neat reading all by itself for its commentary on "proper
design".

Went to a hockey game, met an old rctn'r by
Cheryl Isaak
Back when I was first on rctn, I became friendly with a couple of other NH
stitchers. But life being what it can be, we lost touch.
Well, I bumped in to Marianne last night at the Monarch's game and we've
traded new email addresses and will be attempting to stay in touch. And
since both our DD's...

After years of trying to get DS to read, something, anything, I appear to
have hooked him on Joe Haldeman. He spent all weekend reading The Forever

Well, I tried..... by
Cheryl Isaak
I wanted to stitch this afternoon. DH wanted to watch the football game
(Patriots or the Giants). I tried to stitch with football in the background.
Didn't work. At all.
So, I finished reading Night Train to Rigel by Timothy Zahn. Quite good.
Read the November issue of Discover (very funny...

OT, very very OT - surprise in the garage! by
Cheryl Isaak
Today is trash day!
After the cranky DH left, I went out with the first of many loads of
recycling and trash. In this week's barrel is a broken fiberglass driveway
marker, it been in there since last week.
This morning curled around the top of the marker is a 14 inch long garter
snake. I gingerly...

LOL - I know why it was in the bargain bin (yes On Topic) by
Cheryl Isaak
My local Ben Franklin's has a great mix of stuff, sort of a mini Michael's.
And a bargain aisle! Not much in the way of needlework, but lots of other
stuff. In with the paints was several bottles of Crafter's Quick Relief
Lotion. Hey for $1.50, I'll try it, if it is nasty florally, I can...

A PITA project done by
Cheryl Isaak
I decided to go those unfinished objects, the ones that are so close to
completion.
So I finished Diane Arthur's Bee Skep, a project that I hated, don't know
why I even bought it (maybe the $1.50 price for the kit).
So despite the miscount someplace in the skep, I finished the stitching, did
the...

Picked out a project that I want to work on! It is fairly small ( welcome to

OT - one of you will have the answer(s) by
Cheryl Isaak
Since this list is the fount of all knowledge:
1. Does any one know where to buy those Styrofoam heads you see at hat
stores? Cheap is best
2. Any thoughts on how to store (and to a less extent, display) baseball
caps? I was thinking a vertical chain with clips/hooks/what ever? They
proliferate....

Cheryl Isaak
I've already added Ort and Frog to my students vocabulary and was wondering
what else to add for "stitch-y" words. My thoughts

Floss
Fiber
Perle Cotton
Aida
Plastic Canvas
Perforated Paper
