Wheelchair tote by
Morag in Detroit
Hi All,
I just got the word that I'm going to be living in this
wheelchair permanently. I need to make a totebag that
will fit over the handles so that I can carry stuff like my
accessories for the oxygen tanks etc. It doesn't have to be
big but I'm sort of in a fog right now about where to...

OT Quick update by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Hello my quilty friends. I'm not much good for anything useful right now-
sitting in a wheelchair shifted to the left since the right "check" is too
swollen and tender to allow sitting level. VBG The hospital stay was a
nightmare of neglect and abuse with complaints filed with several...

Happy dance - kites quilt in local show by
No Name
Hi,
I set myself some creative goals at the beginning of the year, and one of them was to finish a quilt for the local guild's show in May. Another was to learn to machine quilt, including free motion. Well they go together because I never would have finished it in time by hand.
I looked at the...

Ms P
Do any of you have one of the mid-arm quilt machines? The HQ 16, Voyager 17
or the stretch Singer? Please tell me what you like and don't like about
the machine and frame set up.
I've been appointed to do research for my guild. We have a Pfaff Grand
Quilter and are considering upgrading to a...

OT Happy Birthday, John A! by
Pat in Virginia
Pat's Original Virginia Fife and Drums Corps is playing
happy songs to salute John on his special day! Since he
is just up the pike, at the Virginia Quilter's Place, I
guess he can hear the music. ;)

Hand quilting frame by
John
Ok, after much thought I have decided to try once again to hand quilt
a few quilts. I have exhumed the beautiful cherry hand quilting frame
that I bought when I first started this madness. It was made by a
local 80+ year old craftsman who has since passed away. I tried to get
up and running with it...

Hi everyone, Life is indeed hectic the last 9 months or so. Norah will be

Jack is 7 months old and stays with me 4 days a week while his Mom & Dad
work. He is a delight! Norah is talking and calls me Nana, a sweeter...

OT postage rates up by
Polly Esther
Just in case you've missed it, I think maybe the postage rates went up this
morning. If you're paying bills or writing your congressman, you'll need a
41¢ stamp. That probably means that our online S.E.X. just went up 5%.
And furthermore, if you want to really impress your friends, you can...

Florida wild fires by
Boca Jan
The dry weather in Florida is really causing havoc with fires. Just call us
the Western Australia. I am sending a link to a map showing how the state is
just filled with fire. Every morning I wake up and can smell the smoke.

OT - Leslie is home by
Karen, Queen of Squishies
A word from the Hunky Mr. Collins -
Hey everyone,
She's home now. The surgery was much more intense than expected. The
doctor went in expecting to replace a part that was worn out, and said after
the surgery that the doctor that did the original hip replacement DID IT
WRONG, and that was why...

There is a new quilt shop in my home town, and it's great! It's in
Greenville, IL, which is about 70 miles south of Springfield, 50 miles
east of St. Louis, and dead center between Highland, Vandalia,
Hillsboro, and Carlyle. It is called Farmland Quilting and Embroidery
and run by a very nice...

Cut resistant gloves can be found in the fishing section of Sporting
Goods departments. They are sold for hand protection while cutting
fish. They are called a Filet Glove. The ones at Walmart are gray.
I gave one to my Mother yesterday. What better gift could I give her
than safety while...

Hi, I don't post often, but I am moving this next week from Idaho Falls, ID
to Casper, WY.
Quilting wise I am looking forward to it because I haven't quilted this
year at all. Getting the house organized, decluttered, etc., before putting
it on the market was a couple of months.
But we sold...

For the first time since my little 4 yr old Becky has been born I have
kept her without her sister. She insisted on comeing to Grammy's even

couldn't come, it was his week-end.
She kept telling me she didn't want to go home, she...
