OT - Housecats getting used to the great outdoors? by
Johanna Gibson
Hello all,
I've had Poppy and Daisy for nearly a year now, and I suspect that
they were outdoor cats before I acquired them. However, I have a bus
stop in my front garden and one across the street, and buses going
each direction every 1/2 hour. So the kitties are indoor cats who go
outside on a...

Placemats by
Sandy
I belong to a Yahoo group of French-speaking quilters who had a BOM over
the course of the past year. I had originally intended to use my 4"
blocks at the background of a quilt I had in mind, but I stupidly used
some fabrics that were just too strong for what I wanted; I discovered
this fairly...

OT - Baby News by
Jo Gibson
The good news is that Mark and I are expecting our first child in
January, and are planning to get married later on in the spring,
possibly June. We had planned to marry first, but the baby news
surprised us.
The bad news is, the moment I told my manager, she made my life hell at
work, was...

Quilt Guild Gift by
Marcella Peek
Hi -
Back again to beg you creative ones for your good ideas.
September is our guild birthday party. In the past we've been given a
little something as part of the festivities. Most often it has been a
fat quarter (often of quite dubious fabric). Last year we were given a
nice notepad with...

OT again - because my last message went who knows where... by
Karen, Queen of Squishies[_2_]
Prednisone round has ended after six weeks worth. And now I am breaking
out in itchy spots all over again, more every day. And I'm ON my new
diet! What IS this stuff? So thoughts and prayers appreciated. I need
to figure out what is causing this. Quickly.

Macs by
KJ
I have a new Mac laptop. Now I need to figure out how to get newsgroup
access without using Outlook Express. I know we've hashed this in the
past....but at that time it didn't pertain to ME!
So far I like it, but I wouldn't say I'm in love yet. I have a lot of work
to do to get programs...

Walmart quilts by
Kate T.
My cousin has been in a real b!@#$% mood for a couple months. You
know, that not speaking crap. Now she wants to be friendly again.
She went to a yard sale and bought a couple quilts. Thinks she got a
real bargain on two handmade quilts. She sent pictures. I told her
to take them to a LQS to...

King Sized Summer-Weight Quilt finished by
Michelle C[_3_]
My mom and I started this quilt together in the summer of 2007. We'd
hoped to have it done by the spring of 2008.... LOL! Well, we're only
a year off.
The quilt uses the Oregon Trail block and has a star themed fabric
running throughout, so we call it Starry Night on the Oregon Trail. The...

Stash Building by
Sherry
Just curious. When you run across a fabric that you just dearly love,
but have no idea what
you're going to do with it, or nothing at home that really complements
it, how much of
it do you buy? Just in anticipation that you WILL use it in a quilt
pattern some day?

Where to even start........ Louise and I decided to finally meet up at a
local quilt shop and then have some lunch. We poked around the quilt shop
for a bit, then went out to the car to head to lunch. Louise said she had
something she wanted to show me....she had a quilt in her bag. Oh...

Help!!!! by

I told my future daughter in law that I would hem fabric that her
bridesmaids will wear as long scarves. She and her mother thought the
bridal shop was being unreasonable....I'm now not so sure. It came today.
It's a chocolate brown chiffon. GULP!
Well, in all honesty, I knew what the fabric...

Guild Librarian by

I am going to be Co-Librarian next year. That means in 2010, I'll be the
main Librarian. We have too, too, many books. We meet in a church, the
church is running out of room. We are down to one book cabinet. No one wants
to get rid of any books.
I think when it's my turn, I am going to be...

Hi All,
The Greyhound rescue, I work with, is having a fashion show fundraiser
next spring. The theme for the show is "Traveling across America". Each
table will have a different state theme.
I was wondering if anyone would like to help out with a postcard from
their state to be placed on the...

OT ignore recall notice? by
Polly Esther[_2_]
Sometime back, one of my 'down through the hollow and around the bend'
neighbors received a recall notice about his truck. It suggested that there
was a problem that he needed to have checked out.
Neighbor tossed the warning aside assuming it was only an opportunity
for the dealership to...

Well It appears that my wife has convinced me that we need to head

for me, as to the things I need to do so that I can accomplish this
time honored tradition of midwesterners and head for Florida or other
points south to escape...

New pics up! by
Susan Torrens
I just added some pictures to my 2009 album. The blue and yellow quilt was
made using a BOM pattern from Fat Cat Patterns. I hand appliquéd the blocks
during the summer, then finally found a use for the blue and yellow stripe
print that I bought many years ago. I had fun quilting, using...

I feel like have haven't completed a thing, but have been sewing regularly.
I have made and gifted 5 baby quilts, and I have 3 homemade quilt kits ready
