Caramel Corn update by Taria
I just wanted to report back with my CC results. I used AnnaBelle's recipe with the butter Marcella assured me would work. It was a very successful morning. My kitchen was pretty sticky although not as bad as I expected. The recipe is very easy and tastes great. I walked on the treadmill but I...

I *never* use solid fabrics- til now! by Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Made for a (male) friend's 60th birthday gift. All Kona cotton solid colored fabrics, machine appliquéd, and machine quilted in sections..... and every possible mistake (and then some!) were made in the process. Now I have to un-sew the label and remove the straight pins I put over the boo-boo...

Ping Ms. Polly by Rita L. in MA[_2_]
Thank you so much for the best sewing trick I ever learned! I just had to change bobbin thread about five times on a tote bag I am making. (The thread really had to match the pieces.) Your trick of raising the bobbin thread by pushing top thread under the presser foot is my most favorite of...

Remember Rhoda? by Louise in Iowa[_2_]
For those of you who remember Rhoda (quilter, author, painter), she has lost access to her newsgroups, but was able to contact me via Webshots (see, it's good for something besides loud, obnoxious commercials) and asked me to tell you that she misses you all. I gave her a couple of suggestions...

Need ideas for a little girl's dress-up box by Susan Laity Price
A friend has decided to be creative rather than buying her children gifts this year. Her daughter is almost four and loves to play dress-up. Since I don't have any little girls in my life I am helping fill a dress-up box. After Halloween I bought a tiara and little girl white gloves on a close-out....

She had collected a lot of fabrics in pretty shades of purple, purple florals, light pinks and some greens that look great with the purples, and had cut them into...
