Hoops/ scroll frames and more by
D.M.Evans
Now, I am sure this is has explored here before. I can't decide if I am
a hoop person( that is what I learnt with) I like the nice taut surface, but
I undestand it crushes the threads( I never left my work in it). I have
done large stuff on scroll frames, but they are harder to transport and...

Table Linens and Newsreaders by
Suzanne
Thanks for all the good advice once I got my questions answered. Right
now that's all I'm going to say, because I'm fuming again, though it's
not at fault of anyone here. As I said before, if my other post gets
through, I'm having trouble with my newsreader, or maybe my computer,
not sure which. ...

misc. questions by

These questions are not related to each other, so if you don't know the
answer to one, you might to the other.
First of all, a finishing question. My mom boaght me/herself (she paid
for them, I'm doing them, she gets the finished product) this series of

help identifying embroidered cloth? by
[email protected]
Please excuse me if this post is not appropriate to or welcome in your group but
I've been looking for info on this piece for years and I'm giving up hope. This
cloth is hand embroidered in yellow (and various accent colored) silk thread on
very rough red homespun cotton in two separate panels each...

Getting ready for a moving sale by
PennyLeeD2
I'm moving from the suburbs to deep in the heart of Boston, where I'll be
going from 1550 square feet down to 850 or so. I need to reduce my stash
significantly, and am in a quandary as to what to do with the fabrics. I
have both quilting and cross stitch stashes. Has anyone ever sold this sort
of...

Crocheted Circles by
Lucille
I can't remember who was crocheting skull caps recently and asked for info
on crocheting a circle. I came across this today and thought it was a very
good lesson on how to do it:

Table Linens by
Suzanne
Looking at needlework patterns online and off, I've seen several table
linens with beautiful designs that start me thinking of making some.
But I have a few questions. Is there some way to treat a cross
stitched tablecloth to keep it safe from bad food stains? Some cross
stitching would probably...

A bit of this and that.... by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi everyone!
It is me here again. Someone talked here about the fact that someone may
lose her or his interest in stitching for a while. Well, the person who
wrote about that is not the only one. I am that kind of person too.
Sometimes I want to write, sometimes I want to knit and sometimes I want...

Stitch Program by
Angel
I have PM for Cross Stitch v. 3 std., but was wondering about the other
programs out there. I like to fiddle around with bookmarks occasionally and
use specialty stitches. Any input is appreciated.

FL folks - check in and further hurricane prep by
ragamuffin2004
Here's a lurker checking in from near Tallahassee. Jefferson county
actually, where we got only 7 inches of rain and some tropical force winds.
Our power went out Sunday around 3:30 when a neighbor's oak tree blew over.
We got power back around 8 something on Sunday night, then it went out...

Can't anybody resist? by
Caryn
I'm just venting over the recent spate of cross posts being perpetuated because
nobody can seem to resist posting replies to them.
THEY WILL DIE IF YOU IGNORE THEM!!! How is posting to them, about how awful
you find them, helping matters?
Vent over.

OT-I'm back by
Lucille
Hi Everyone,
All's well with my world and I'm finally back on line. Now if Ivan will only
go elsewhere maybe this will be permanent. Lots of shingles flew off my
roof, and most of those around me, but luckily only hit a few porch screens
and didn't do any major damage. So far the roof isn't...
