Hello,
I received my Jan. threads from Ray in UK today. They are
beautiful and I especially like the purple/red mix one. I plan to
incorporate them into future 6x6's for my RCTY partners, and will
spell that out for the recipients (ie give credit to Ray).
I really liked the postcard of Ray's town. I am now signed up
for a digital camera class at our local community college and plan to
take pictures of my little country town, and my inspiration to get
them out into the world is RCTY.
Thanks, Ray. Say, Ray! Are you a guy or a gal? Just curious.
I just LOVE this group.
Cheers to all,
Kira

Hi Kira,

I'll mark the list for Norma that you have received your threads from

I was doing some computer housekeeping and found this message and realised
I never replied...

I guess I've been on the group long enough that I forget it can be confusing
for people who are newer - Ray = female.

At one time I used to have that in my .sig but dropped it a while ago.

The Fashion or trend to Give UnGender names has reached Israel ,, and
more and more names appear when one wonders ??? This was where i wish
the `difference ` between the genders would stay.

Sometimes though what is considered male or female varies from country
to country. I was stuck by that this morning when they were talking about
the Italian journalist who was accidentally killed in Iraq. His name is
Nicola which in England would be a girl's name.

Ray, you're in good company (okay, he passed away years ago, but
still....).... John Wayne's real name was Marion Morrison. :o)

There are a couple of Native American gentlemen who live on the Reserve near
our town whose names are Beverly and Shirley. I believe they are either
brothers, or cousins.

sadly, many boy's names have been coopted for girls, with the
result that the pool of acceptable boy's names gets smaller...
since once a name becomes common as a girls name, no one wants
to give thier boy a girly name...

Hee hee. Thanks for answering that, Ray. After reading many of your
posts since we were thread partners a while back (when I sent that
question), I had come to the conclusion that you were female.
Yes, many names in common: Pat, Chris, Alex, Dana, Jamie, Kelly, etc
(I knew a really NASTY little boy named Kelly Dew... always thought he
was trying to conteract his name with his behavior). ha ha
