I am knitting Elizabeth Zimmermann's 'Best Baby Sweater" found in The
knitters Almanac.....After she gives the instructions for the sleeves, she
says;
Decrease 10 %, (K8, K2tog across) and finish with 1 inch of garder sts.
Cast off loosely, in P,on the right side.............
I am not sure what she means........where is it I decrease????..if anyone
out there had successfully made this baby sweater, can you please
help....................thanks, Maggie knitting and watering in the desert!

I would guess that the (K8, K2tog across) is the description of how
you decrease 10%. That is, 10 stitches turn into 9, since you're
knitting two of them together.
