Hi...I just finished the darling Debby Ware "Gumdrop" hat for one of our
identical twin girls that is due the middle of Aug.....I am knitting another
one in darker rose.

I hope you can view them....

I also included some different baby sweater patterns that I was
experimenting with using Plymouth Encore yarn. I still like the 5 HR. baby
sweater pattern the best. I don't have any of the buttons or trim attached
on those Encore sweaters. I am waiting until I am ready to give them as
gifts.

And I love the textured Baby sweaters that I knit from a kit from Lorna's
Laces Yarns...

Hi Allaya

Congratulations on your upcoming baby...The hat is even cuter than on the
picture...the colors are better and adorable. It has little crocheted
flowers between the buttons that you can't see. I got it as a kit at our
little yarn shop --- However, Patternworks sells her hat kits and I am sure
other mail order catalogs do too.

The 5 hr. baby sweater is very popular and is found on the net...go to
google and do a search....I am sure someone can direct you to the pattern.

I am currently knitting a quick (altho' I seldom work on it!!) pattern for a
blanket...I am using 2 strands of Plymouth Encore yarn together--red and
white. It is a checkerboard effect---Knitting 3, P3 and then P the K and K
the P for 4 rows and then changing on the next 4 rows....I found this
pattern in the Quick Knit Baby Afghans leaflet #2894 by Leisure Arts. The
design is by Evelyn Clark. It calls for a size 15 circular, but I am using
sz. 13 bec/ my daughter doesn't like any "holes" for baby's fingers to get
caught in....

Good luck and have a smooth pregnancy...Linda

Linda,

What lovely baby items you have made. I also love the creature modeling the
hat. I have a love for stuffed animals, you should see my closet shelves.

Allaya, do you want knit or crochet baby blanket patterns?

Hugs,

Nora

Allaya,

The patterns that I love to crochet using any kind of yarn is the continuous
granny square and what I call the lazy stitch, all double crochets. If you
would like the directions for it just send me an email.

Hugs,

Nora
