Securing ladders

Can anyone name and describe the four knots/hitches in common use for
securing ladders (i.e. to scaffold).

No, but I can tell you the three used to secure a ladder to a
telephone pole. Two half hitches on one rail, a round turn around the
pole, and a clove hitch on the other rail.
